HANDSHAPE BOOK

In 2019 we realised Handshape Project, an experience and symbol of connection and understanding between strangers. A message symbolized by the Fall of the Berlin Wall, that is so actual in our turbulent, vulnerable times.

One year later, as this catalogue goes to print, the global corona pandemic has made the core gesture of the Handshape ritual—the handshake—unthinkable, at least temporarily, while social distancing measures are in place. Whilst it is currently not possible to connect on a physical level, this catalogue is your invitation to reflect upon the importance of dismantling our internal and external dividing walls by opening up to one an- other, even if that means stepping out of our comfort zone. And luckily, this virus cannot stop us from sharing stories. With this book we are glad to be able to share the fascinating Handshape story with you.
